Japanese Translation Workers Celebrate Emperor Akihito Reign
This week will mark the twentieth anniversary of Emperor Akihito, the emperor of Japan’s reign. At a ceremony honoring the emperor, Emperor Akihito called for the Japanese to continue to build peaceful relationships throughout the world. Japanese Translation workers at the event wrote that the emperor drew on historical events that occurred during World War II to encourage all Japanese citizens to continue to work hard to build an even better Japan that existing generations will be proud to pass on to new generations.
In his speech, the emperor told audiences that Japan has been built on tremendous sacrifices, and it is important to pass the country’s great accomplishments on to those born after the war. Today, nearly 75-percent of the Japanese population was born after the war. According to Certified Japanese translation workers, the emperor also reflected on the challenges that the world encountered over the last two decades that included large natural disasters and the fall of the Soviet Union. He said that while the world will continue to experience great difficulties, Japan must continue to work towards peace and prosperity.
The ceremony for the emperor was attended by more than 600 high ranking government officials. Other speakers at the event praised the emperor’s leadership in guiding the country through turbulent crisis.
The Japanese Translation workers indicated that currently, the Imperial family consists of 23 members, but only seven princes are in line to the throne, of whom Prince Hisahito, 3, is the Emperor's only grandson. Prince Hisahito is third in line after Crown Prince Naruhito and Prince Akishino, the Emperor's sons.
